Kimchi Braised Pork

  • 2 pork fillets (approximately 500g each)
  • 400g kimchi, chopped
  • 6 scallions, chopped into 1 cm pieces
  • 4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 cm piece of ginger, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 240ml water


  • Add the the kimchi, scallions, garlic, ginger, Gochujang, and sesame oil to the slow cooker.
  • Place the pork in the slow cooker with the other ingredients and add water so that the pork it just covered.
  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 8 hours, or until the pork is fork tender.
  • Once the pork is done, gently pull it apart into bite size chunks and serve with extra scallions.
