COMMUNITY CREATIVE PROJECT
Throughout the day everyone is invited to contribute to one giant collaborative artwork celebrating 20 years of Kilkenny Savour Festival.
Visitors can drop in at any time and help create a spectacular community artwork inspired by local food, family traditions, and shared memories.
Imagine one enormous festival tablecloth created by hundreds of hands. Using block-printing techniques with fresh vegetables, herbs, fruit and traditional kitchen utensils, visitors create colourful patterns across a large canvas. Families can also write or draw their favourite food memories using fabric markers.
Throughout the day we will invite surprise guests to leave their mark on the collaborative artwork. These special appearances create exciting moments for children while celebrating the people behind Kilkenny’s incredible food culture.
The result becomes a symbolic community tablecloth where everyone’s FOOD Story has a place.
