Utensil: Current Approaches to Tableware
Utensil exhibition at National Craft Gallery, brings together 21 European applied artists and product designers who present alternative approaches to tableware. The exhibition features innovative tableware and accessories with quirky aesthetics, challenging our expectations of domestic products and fusing utility with art for the table. Utensil explores form, material and emotional connections, through the use, history and personal significance we attach to these objects. Aimed at stimulating the senses, the exhibition brings together a collection of intriguing objects ranging from the functional to the fantastic. Playful, provocative and interactive, dinnertime may never be the same!
