Dublin based Product Designers DesignGoat discuss their ‘Eating Objects’ project; a design exploration of food, molecular gastronomy and eating experiences. Using food as a material they have created a series of food ‘products’ that would be constructed by the diner in a restaurant. Using the processes and techniques of molecular gastronomy to form food in new ways, they intend to control different tastes, colours and textures; thus challenging peoples pre-conceptions towards food and the habits they have grown up with.
