Taste Buds will teach children about food and healthy eating with special guest Catherine Fulvio. During the session, children will challenge their taste buds with different foods from around the world, as well as take part in a lively, hands-on recipe challenge!
Each session will kick off with a lively chat about the importance of food in our lives, how we need it to keep us healthy and how unfortunately not everything we eat is good for us, particularly if we eat too much of the ‘bad’ things.
The food pyramid will be introduced in a fun way and kids will be shown how we need to eat different types of food in different quantities in order to have enough energy to do everything we want to do. Kids will be asked up to play an interactive football game which will help them put foods into the right groups.
Kids will be encouraged to taste foods they haven’t perhaps tried before and be more adventurous with their food choices. The session will end with a cookery demonstration where the kids will get to give a hand.
Goodie bags will be given to all students taking part. FREE EVENT BUT BOOKING REQUIRED
