Forage it, Cook it and Eat it!
A walk with a difference! Join Senator Mary White of Blackstairs Eco Trails, and Kilkenny City Mayor Seán O hArgáin on a fabulous foraging walk along the banks of the River Nore. On the walk, you will be on the look out for seasonal berries, sloes, haws, hips and guelder rose berries. The search will also take in edible leaves, hairy bitter cress, dandelion leaves, sorrel and much, much more. Participants will get a chance to enjoy the fruits of their walk as Sous Chef Phillippe Gauthier from the Pembroke Hotel cooks the ingredients into sumptuous dishes at the Chef’s Table in the Parade Plaza.
